Why should I take part?

The EFPSA Train the Trainers Summer School is a very intense, challenging and rewarding experience. Participating in a TtT means to broaden one’s own horizon by gaining lots of knowledge & practise about preparing and delivering trainings and skills sessions. It includes several opportunities:

->  Learning and improvement on a personal and professional level
->  Becoming involved in training in EFPSA & other psychological organisations
->  Enhanced personal development, knowledge and skills
->  Potential prospect of joining the EFPSA Trainers Pool and becoming certified EFPSA trainer

What exactly is it about?

The seminar compromises a number of topics which will be delivered by the trainers in 2 separate home groups of 10 participants and 2 trainers each. They include topics such as:

-    Comfort Zone
-    Group Dynamics
-    Adult Learning
-    Session Design
-    Training Methods
-    Difficult Participants
-    Debriefing
-    Coaching & Mentoring
-    Facilitation

Each day the agenda will be started by a Cheer-Up and ended by a Reflect session. Emphasis is placed on interaction and experiential learning. Trainings will be varied in methodologies.

Delegates will have several occasions to practise giving short trainings themselves in which they can apply the things they have learned at each stage of the summer school. They will be given feedback  by group members and trainers. These trainings will partially be prepared by the delegates as homework before the seminar and partially during the seminar.

Leisure time will include events such as a close-by lake, ice caves, mountain walks, minigolf and summer sliding. They will be placed strategically to allow for passive digestion of the learnings, enable interpersonal networking and support the positive group atmosphere and learning environment.

Certificate and Trainers Pool

Participants will be constantly evaluated during the seminar. Successful participants will then become part of the EFPSA Trainers Pool, a platform where personal contacts, training materials and opportunities in the training field are shared. Upon the fulfilment of certain criteria in consequence to the TtT the best participants can even become recognised EFPSA Trainers.
