EFPSA in the BEST Trainers’ Forum

altFrom 26-30 March EFPSA sent five representatives to the first BEST Trainers’ Forum in Hungary: Lisa Wagner, Dorota Wisniewska, and Dominika Szymanska from the Board Board of Management, EFPSA Training Officer Daniel Rau, and EFPSA dinosaur Anna Halas.
The Forum brought together around 70 trainers from 16 student NGOs in a village called Sátoraljaújhely in Hungary’s beautiful Tokai region.
The participants of the Forum enjoyed fruitful work sessions at daytime and cultural exchange in the evenings.
The work sessions were based on the Open Space Technology (OST), a discussion technique that also inspired EFPSA people in the last EB/NR meeting. OST stimulates the participant’s creativity and allowes them to work on the topics they are specifically interested in. Among other things, the following topics were discussed:

  • Training systems in different organisations
  • Quality assurance in trainings
  • Useful methods and tools in trainings
  • Training Software
  • Training and psychology

The participants also got inspired in the TEDx session and Lightning Talks when EFPSA Training Officer Daniel Rau held speeches that were well received by the audience.
EFPSA is grateful for the opportunity to participate in the BEST Trainers’ Forum and thanks the local BEST Budapest group for organizing this special event. Hopefully this is the beginning of a fruitful cooperation between NGOs to work together on various training projects. We are already looking forward to the second BEST Trainers’ Forum!
